Insurance repair guidance

Your claim has a process. Your repair needs an advocate.

We coordinate the estimate, documentation, supplements and repair communication while keeping you informed at every step.

Your repair facility

The decision remains yours.

An insurer may recommend a repair network, but you can select the repair facility. We work with major carriers and document the operations required for your vehicle.

01 / Start

Share the claim information

Provide the carrier, claim number and adjuster details when available. We can explain what is needed next.

02 / Inspect

Build the repair plan

Visible damage begins the estimate; inspection and disassembly may reveal additional required operations.

03 / Coordinate

Document supplements

Additional damage and procedures are documented for insurer review before related work proceeds.

04 / Update

Keep you informed

The repair team communicates schedule, parts and approval changes without making you chase updates.

Claim-to-repair workflow

One team owns the handoffs.

Collision repair involves you, the repair planner, the insurer, parts suppliers, the rental provider and technicians. We keep those handoffs organized while remaining accountable to you—the vehicle owner.

01

Claim and estimate intake

Confirm contact, vehicle and claim information; schedule the appropriate inspection or tow.

02

Supplement documentation

Record concealed damage and required operations discovered after initial inspection or disassembly.

03

Parts and repair coordination

Track approvals, parts availability and the repair sequence while communicating material changes.

04

Delivery documentation

Review completed work, final paperwork and written warranty information with you at pickup.

All insurers welcome

Your carrier does not define our repair standard.

We can communicate with the carrier you already use. Bring the claim number if you have one—if not, we can help you start.

Do I have to use the collision center my insurer recommends?+

No. In Washington, you have the right to choose the repair facility. Pilot works with all major insurers and can coordinate the claim with the carrier you already use.

Can you prepare an estimate from photos?+

Photos help us understand the visible damage and plan your next step. A final repair plan may require an in-person teardown and diagnostic scan because important damage can be hidden beneath exterior panels.

How long will my repair take?+

Timing depends on damage, parts availability and required calibrations. We provide an expected schedule after the repair plan is complete and proactively communicate changes.

Will you arrange a rental vehicle?+

Yes. We can coordinate rental pickup with you, your insurer and our rental partners so the handoff is as simple as possible.

Have a claim number?
